Lanao Del Norte Governor Imelda Q. Dimaporo expressed her full support to the project through her presence during the MOA signing. She urged the beneficiaries present to assist in the implementation of the project and mentioned that the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte will also actively monitor the project.

a regional knowledge-sharing event which aims to discuss the challenges and opportunities to expand social protection in response to demographic shifts and achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed last September 2, 2019 at Gat Yantok Memorial Court in Majayjay Laguna by Secretary Noel K. Felongco of the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) and Mayor Claro Invinzor B. Clado of the Municipality of Majayjay Laguna in coordination with the Philippine Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).
The National Anti-Poverty Commission went down to Calbayog City, Samar to conduct series of orientations with fisherfolk beneficiaries, Ka-Sambayanihan Volunteers and a meeting with LGU department heads on PAGCOR funded Poverty Reduction through Rural Development (PRRD) prototype project in the city from September 4-6, 2019.
Ms. Norhainah Lucman attended the event as a representative of NAPC. SHFC has a mission of uplifting the living conditions of underprivileged communities through Building Adequate Livable Affordable and Inclusive Filipino Communities or the BALAI Filipino Communities program.
NAPC facilitated the program in order to find a convergence point among all the parties concerned. The said meeting was joined by various government agencies like DILG, HUDCC, CHR, LRA, LMB-DENR, DENR-NCR, NMRIA-DENR, and QCPD as well as representatives from the concerned barangays, namely: Bagong Silangan; North Fairview; Payatas; and Batasan. The local government unit of Quezon City and Taguig was also present.
After NAPC PPS Director Ferdinand B. Hombrebueno presented the background of the event and the poverty situation in the Philippines, the participants exchanged insights and ideas on the services that each agency can provide during the week-long celebration with the theme “Acting Together to Empower Children, their Families and Communities to End Poverty”.
The event aims to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote energy efficiency across sectors. To assist the Philippine government in reaching its electrification objectives and promote the Sustainable Energy for All Agenda, the EU has committed a grant of over PHP 3 billion to assist the Government of the Philippines to meet its rural electrification targets based on renewable energy, and to promote energy efficiency.

She also urged everyone to have a genuine intention to reduce our poverty statistics and not just contented with reducing poverty incidence in the country.

The first day of the activity officially opened with a remarks from Secretary Noel Felongco,who emphasized that the agency’s 5-Year Development Plan called Sambayanihan Serbisyong Sambayanan or Sambayanihan is in accordance with Republic Act No. 8425. He even mentioned that aside from the Provincial Consultative Bodies which is the agency’s mechanism to really bring down NAPC to the provincial level, NAPC is still planning to really lower down people’s inclusive participation to the grassroots level.

The Community Fish Landing Center (CFLC) Program seeks to reduce poverty among poor fishing communities and promotes"inclusive growth" in the fishery sector. It provides a comprehensive framework to address poverty through the provision of appropriate livelihoods and promotion of ecologically sound, economically viable and socially equitable interventions.
