NAPC Sec. Noel Felongco shares the agency's 3 banner programs namely: Sambayanihan Serbisyong Sambayan or SSS that will answer the need to alleviate and reduce poverty and is anchored on developing rural and urban agriculture and industry as the most important preconditions for overcoming extreme poverty; second is the roll out of the Provincial Consultative Bodies or PCBs, which is the convergent consultative mechanism at the provincial level that serves as an avenue for collaboration and coordination between government agencies, primarily the LGUs and the communities; lastly is the Actionable Development Agenda for Poverty Transformation or ADAPT 40/10/10 that intends to help poor communities across the country adapt to the effects of climate change.

Farmers, agroecologists, and food security advocates from all over the Philippines gathered to discuss best practices and strategies in achieving local food security, during a multisectoral forum on pro-poor, pro-people food security framework hosted by the National Anti-Poverty Commission on October 29 in Quezon City. The participants highlighted the need for a genuine agrarian reform program to boost the country's agricultural production, as well as organic and diversified farming to achieve food security in the country.
