Sulu town's coco industry to be developed to ease poverty

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Oct. 17 (PIA) - The National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) aims to reduce poverty in the Philippines and one of the identified areas for the priority projects is the Municipality of Talipao, Sulu.

NAPC allocated Php3-Million for the implementation of the village-linked coco industry development, a poverty reduction prototype project for Talipao, Sulu.

The memorandum of agreement was signed by NAPC represented by Secretary Noel Felongco and Talipao Municipal Mayor Nivocadnezar Tulawie on Monday (October 14). This MOA will pave the way for the project implementation and to ensure LGU support for the project.
