NAPC Sec. Felongco visits Iligan City Mayor Regencia to seek his support for organic farming

Atty. Noel K. Felongco, Secretary and Lead Convenor of the National Anti-Poverty Commission gave a courtesy call to Iligan City Mayor Celso G. Regencia on September 11, 2019 to talk about the poverty reduction efforts of NAPC such as the Integrated Coconut Processing prototype project to be implemented in Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte.

Sec. Felongco sought the support of the good mayor in encouraging the farmers in the city to shift into organic farming. He mentioned about the Coop'poration, which is a community-based enterprise mechanism of NAPC at the barangay level. And he talked about Ka-Sambayanihan which is the volunteers program of the agency aiming to mobilize 1 Million volunteers as NAPC’s partners in the monitoring and implementation of poverty alleviation projects nationwide.

Furthermore, Sec. Felongco lauded Mayor Regencia for his resiliency and called him a case study of good governance.
