During the second day of the Integrated Community Food Production (ICFP) Program National Assessment and Planning, the participating partner LGUs have presented their best practices and strategies in the implementation of the program as well as the issues they have encountered and their corresponding solutions.
NAPC Secretary and Lead Convenor Noel K. Felongco graced the activity and mentioned that the upcoming roll-out of the Provincial Consultative Bodies or PCBs will be the counterpart of NAPC in the provincial level.
Ms. Perigine Cayadong, DMO V from NAPC-LACMS, facilitated the presentation of the workshop outputs and presented the salient features of the Magna Carta of the Poor.
Then, Mr. Arturo Alvarez, STO III from NAPC-OHEA, discussed the highlights of the ICFP Program and the Poverty Reduction through Rural Development Sambarangayan program of NAPC.
The program ends with a plenary session focused on the suggestions and recommendations of the partner LGUs to improve the implementation and continuation of the ICFP Program, Local Poverty Reduction Action Plan (LPRAP) preparation and how to boost support for the volunteer program of NAPC called Ka-Sambayanihan.
The output of the ICFP assessment and planning will be incorporated in sustaining and enhancing the impact of the ICFP program into the lives of our poor Filipino brothers and sisters.
